The fitness session was split into 2 stations, the first being a sprinting session and the second involved fun drills and games like cups and saucers to improve overall fitness and endurance.
After fitness the students were split into 3 sports including; swimming, football and volleyball, the Team Durham students split up and coached each sport leading football and volleyball into competitive matches.
After lunch the team brought the students they teach English to at Pambahinna school to the university sports field. Here they set up football and rounders games, they also introduced the parachute and ‘Duck, Duck Goose’ games to the children. This allowed them to teach the children new games and also encourage the children in their spoken English throughout the afternoon, it was a successful afternoon which was enjoyed by all.
