The End is in Sight – 17.08.2013 by Oliver Cook
It’s starting to feel like the end of the project is in sight now. Quite a few of the pre-schools have closed for their holidays and with only one more week of the formal programme left before all the closing ceremonies in the last week, there isn’t really that much time left. The gardening project at Vikumgama is in its final stages and on the Tuesday the whole group gardened together which was nice. My football project is still going on and despite trying to think of new exercises on the spot to keep it fresh, it is still going well. There are only two more sessions now, one which I will give the children certificates that the school has organised for them. Beam’s painting project is also more or less complete and both the schools he has drawn and us painted now looks brilliant. Other than this not much has happened this week, the highlight probably being the lovely meal that Jez made for us all at her house. The food was so good and she such a lovely person to talk to.
