Village Schools – Tuesday 10th July, 2012 – Eghosa Nehikhare
The next village we visited was Kirelawela, which was surprisingly not as great as Aththudawa. Laura and I got prepared and made our way to the village pre-school expecting a good day as the previous one. Unfortunately, the day turned out shocking. Though it was a successful day, the kids kept on crying and nagging. We expected them to be as happy as the kids at Aththudawa but our expectations were short-lived once we got there. Undoubtedly, there is a lot that one needs to do in this village; nevertheless, it was a good day. The after-school was pretty much the same; it was rather dull but still quite responsive. Laura thought that was extremely strange stating that in her four years of visiting Sri Lanka, she has never experienced such before.
