Friday 6th August by Alice and Nic
The day started as Will described in a previous diary entry and had extra importance as it was the last day Alice was 19. However the day soon took an unusual twist with the arrival of a troupe of midwives and mothers. We were impressed to find out that the midwives were there to give a talk on child nutrition and it was nice to see the building being used by the community. There were advising about the giving of protein supplements to children and we were able to try some – surprisingly it tasted nice.In the afternoon, we decided to make a change from the usual afternoon schedule of arts and crafts and instead to play sporting games. Moving tables and chair out of the way unveiled a large space which we could use and allowed us to escape the afternoon sun. We played numerous games with them which included Ladders, Duck, duck, goose and other catching and party games. The games seemed to go down well and everyone got involved. It was a very interesting and enjoyable day.
