Andy and Nik spent the day with Mr Runage looking predominantly at prior recommendations and his desire to export to Europe.On recommendations, we were pleased to see that Mr Runage now has a second modern factory at which the rubbing machine is in constant use.

For exports, we discussed ghemawats cage theory and ohmae’s steps to globalisation with Mr Runage which enabled a focussed approach to thinking about the issues involved in developing new export markets.

For fishing, Richard had planned to visit Galle but the Harbour Master contact was away for the day and this has been postponed until friday. Instead,he was invited to attend a beach fish auction of today’s catch held at night.
