Twenty four hours after leaving home, we arrived in a wet colombo to take the infamous (and beautiful) drive to Weligama.Andy thought the view was more colorful this time, suggesting that many of the buildings along the route had been redecorated.

Nik thought that there were in fact more buildings along the route, so maybe there were newer buildings addings to the colour.

Richard’s first impressions were  the distinct humidity of the tropics.  the many  king coconut vendors stalls by the side of the  road

After arriving at the hotel and a short catch up on sleep, we had dinner with jaggath and a cinnamon producer to discuss logistics and main issues for the forthcoming week.
