Today was the day we had all being preparing for SPORTS DAY in Ihalagalgama village. Unsure of who would turn up, we all went eager and prepared for a day of fun. With games made by the school and games made by us, it was a truly dynamic and eventful day. The day started off with the sack race, and with AJ and me winning, but the spotlight of that event was given to Sam who managed to fall over both times he was in the sack. With plenty more events that saw the children laughing, crying and lots of running, the day was a true success. After another scrumdidiliumptious lunch… and more tea, we were treated to a brilliant meeting with Bandulla from Sarvodaya and Director No.2, we were all given treats from the villagers and flowers and had lots of photos. It was sad to see everyone for that one last time, but it means the end is in slight.
