After a delightful meal with Joy and David and the other teams in Sri Lanka we set off towards Unawatuna, a beachside resort that was almost totally wiped out by the Tsunami. We stayed at a guest house on the beach that had been been rebuilt, and had many interesting conversations with the owner who completely has changed his philosophy of life since surviving the tsunami. We spent the weekend relaxing, swimming and having a cheeky cocktail or two. The bus journey on the way home was interesting with the driver going at around 60mph frequently on the wrong side of the road. We made it back to moonbridge safe and sound and ready for another week of teaching.
