Tuesday 21st July by Emma
Everyone stayed at the University to help Rob and Darren. We started off by doing circuits for the fitness session 7.30am-8.30am. We used floor ladders, little hurdles, cones, footballs and tennis balls over 6 different stations.Darren then did a 2 hour workshop on the correct way to warm up. He looked at 4 different stages; they were general warm up, mobility of joints, muscular activation and neurological activation.
We then got a big surprise as the Vice-Chancellor asked us to set up the circuits again so that the press could take some photos of us working with the students! Rob, Darren, Laura S, Andy and Franky were then asked to attend a small press conference to answer some questions about why we are out here and what we are doing; we have been told this conference will be shown on MTV Sri Lanka!
Rob and Darren left for Colombo to head home at around 1pm after lunch.
4pm-6pm was spent coaching Rugby and Swimming, then Badminton and Squash were held 6.30pm-8pm.
